RF Microneedling Treatments
Before treatment, skin is cleansed and a numbing cream is applied. It is then performed using a handpiece with sterile, single-use tips with fractionated RF energy through microneedles into the skin. This is tolerable to most patients and if it makes you uncomfortable in some way, additional comfort measures are available for more aggressive treatments.
Microneedling RF is a low-downtime procedure that will make patients experience mild redness and swelling for 12 to 24 hours. Applying makeup of any kind should be avoided until the next day. During the first week, it is normal to experience mild peeling and a sandy texture is normal. Any minor bruising that may occur can be covered with makeup.
